Rachel and Dalton are a precious couple. I was blessed to photograph their Mt. Nebo Wedding last month. When I arrived to their beautiful location, Rachel was getting ready for her first look with Dalton. I stepped outside to prepare to photograph their first time to see one another and met her sweet groom for the first time. He had me laughing hysterically by the time Rachel came out to see him. They were the funniest, sweetest and most easy going couple ever.
Rachel looked beautiful as her mom and sister laced up her gown.
I asked them both to share their "story". Rachel's is first in her own words:
"Dalton and I met in college at Arkansas Tech
University. We were both working on a Fisheries and Wildlife degree and
had been in a few classes together when I first started to notice him.
He was a different kind of guy with a fun personality . We started
visiting more during our class labs. The next semester we were put in a
discussion group together for one of our classes. We started getting
to know each other a bit, and around the end of semester he asked me
out. I could tell something was different by the way he had been acting
that evening. I remember he used the words, "would you consider."
Looking at him I realized this was something he had thought a good deal
about. I was a bit surprised, but very happy. It felt comfortable and I
had actually already considered the idea. So, I said yes. We dated for about 2 years and he proposed on a hiking trip on April 11th 2014."
Dalton also shared his version:
"So after semi-stalking Rachel for a few months
(studying the girl in her natural habitat in a non-intrusive and only a
little creepy manner), we began our adventures together. In worlds
physical, digital, and imaginary we quested after happiness and zest in
life amidst the doldrums of a collegiate existence focused on more
mundane affairs. After spending 2000 (metaphorical) years breaking
free from that dreaded campus with Rachel at my side, I realized that I
could have no truer friend and that she was the only one for me to spend
the rest of my mortal days beside.
I LIKED HER SO MUCH I MARRIED HER"
I stole Dalton and Rachel at sunset for a few shots. The first one cracks me up. This is their "rocker" pose!
Dalton and Rachel-- thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your Big Day! I was honored to be there for this moment in your lives.
